Why Clipping Area exists
In 2014, ecommerce was exploding, but the images were not keeping up. Brands were shooting more products than ever and then losing days to slow, inconsistent editing. Photographers were spending their nights on cutouts instead of behind the camera. The tools were either cheap and sloppy or professional and impossibly slow to scale.
Clipping Area started with a simple belief: great product content should not be a bottleneck. We built a studio around trained editors, documented standards, and a production pipeline that treats the ten thousandth image with the same care as the first. No shortcuts, no mystery queues, just craft that ships on time.
How we evolved
What began as a clipping path team grew into a full creative production partner. Retouching, ghost mannequin, color, shadows, vectors, video, and today, AI-assisted workflows that make everything faster without touching the thing that matters most: a trained human eye on every file. We now serve fashion labels, marketplaces, photography studios, and agencies across 52+ countries.
Why the craft still matters
Automation can remove a background in a second. It cannot decide whether a strand of hair should stay, whether a shadow reads as natural, or whether a red matches the red your customers will unbox. That judgment is why clients stay with us for years, and why we will always be people first, tools second.
